The Pin-up on Tuesday will be conducted in the following manner:
- Each design group will be given approximately 15 min for presentation, followed by a 5 min questioning of pure factual nature, only to enable a good understanding of the project.
- Each student is encouraged to be an equal part in the presentations.
- The presentations will be done in the following order:
1. The Interactive Soundscape
2. The Traces
3. The Emotion Machine
- The three presentations should take approximately one hour, after which Ron, Professor at IS, would give his critique, in general and on each project.
- A recess for 30 min, during which the project groups are encouraged to further prepare themselves for a recapitulation and cross-examinations.
- Each group will be given 5 min for recap, followed by 25 min critique and cross-examinations, and verbal defending. All students are encouraged to take part in this process.
- The Pin-up should take approximately 3 hours.
The criteria that will be used in the critique and cross-examinations:
- Media design, and artistic expression. Special attention will be given to the media as a carriage, where the “embeddedness” will be focused; as well as the content itself.
- Functionality and applicability. The space is Arlanda as the capital airport of Sweden; the target group is the passengers, either as a whole, or a specific section, in which case an explicit definition is required.
- Feasibility, at two different levels:
1. The real proposed project, with your estimation and deliberation as against the value of usage/function;
2. The grand presentation, with mock-up/prototype, demand for resources, in terms of budget and time.
Please prepare your presentations accordingly.
