the last one is really interesting for you if you would like to try linux. You can boot from a CD and it is made with media artists in mind. with realtime audio and video processing.
Interfaces (software or otherwise) change how you think and deal with the world. If we all think the same way then those interfaces restrict our freedom, in such a subversive way as we are not even aware its possible to think another way.
